Role description/requirements:
The aim of the peer mentor team is to support Yorkshire Mesmac staff in local events, training sessions, schools and other settings
• Delivering sexual health messages to individuals and groups in various settings
• Participating in information stalls and condom distribution at events
• Participating in delivering training
• Helping to create a welcome and friendly atmosphere that encourages healthy discussions around sexual health and contraception
Volunteers are not expected to provide a minimum availability commitment.
This role requires a DBS.
Character requirements/description
There is no experience necessary to become a Mesmac volunteer as all training will be provided! However, as a peer mentor volunteer you need to be 16-19 – if you are younger than this please check out our event volunteer post!
